Disney World Here We Come!

So my students competed in the State FCCLA competition this weekend in Dallas.  We got to stay in a big fancy hotel, Hilton Anatole, and I think my students discovered every corner in that place.  I do not remember being like this in high school, but right when we get there they put their stuff in their rooms and then go up all the staircases, check out all 11 pools (yes, there was that many), look in the mini fridge and pick up all of the food items in the fridge- later having to let us know so we have not been charged- haha. Then mix in 3800 other teenagers in the mix- it is pretty crazy.  I heard so many other guests complaining about "the running teenagers".  Why do groups of teens feel the need to run through the halls?

We had a great time!  Breanna, one of my Ready, Set, Teach students placed first in the category, Teach and Train were she made an education portfolio (lesson plans, class work, job shadowing experience, and career investigation) and presented a 10 minute presentation.  She is the first student from Central to go to Nationals for FCCLA, only the first two place.  Let's just say that I was beyond excited and proud of Bre.  I teared up, and was shaking for about 15 minutes.  The cool thing is... she is very easy going, super fun to hang out with...which will come in handy when we go to Orlando, Florida for a week in July for Nationals.  They have a whole itinerary and package that we will follow.  Right when we get off the plane, we get to go to Universal Studios- Harry Potter Land!!!  I am just as excited as she is:)  My other kids did awesome and were troopers!  So blessed to get to be a part of an organization that focuses on families and helping others.

Here are a few pictures, you know me!
