Ha...I blend in a little too well:)

I told them to hold hands when walking across the street... and they obeyed.

Trips with my Kiddos- Part 1

I really enjoy going on trips with my kids.  I get to know them outside the classroom, which is always more fun:)  We went to Abilene this past weekend and I had 8 teams compete in the FCCLA Region 2 Conference.  It was on the campus of ACU- which I loved!  The kids on this trip were amazing.  Sometimes you have groups that do not get along, or complainers, or ones who try to push the rules...but these kids were perfect!  No complaining about the restaurants, no trying to sneak out of their rooms (I think), and everyone got along and included each other in everything (which is so nice).  I am a very blessed teacher!  Out of the 8 groups that competed, 6 teams are going to state- which is awesome!  Kids competed in Culinary, Fashion, Teach and Train, Job Interview, Interpersonal Communication, and Community Service Projects.  I hope that students get a lot out of competing.. I think they do.  Here are some fun pictures... they all signed media permission slips- so it is ok to post these.

Thrift Stores= Happy Wallet

Happy Monday! Natalie, TBFF, wanted me to put this up because she thought it was the cutest Monday outfit ever. What I think is cute about it, is that the blazer and blouse cost $2.00 total. Now that is cute! Since I am trying to not shop- which has been very hard for me- I am shopping at Goodwill's and thrift stores. This outfit is all stuff from the 80's/90's I am sure, but I am a big fan of the blazers and polka dots.

I miss France.

Bonjour!

First of all, thank you for all of the sweet responses to the post yesterday.  I am so glad I did it!  Thanks for your support:)

There are days when I miss France a whole lot.  The picture right below was taken in Nice, France.  It is one of my favorite pictures.  I absolutely loved Nice.  It is on the French Riviera- we spent 3 days there with a Couch Surfing girl- Manuella- who was precious.  We rode bikes by the ocean, swam, ate at the cutest places, walked through the small streets, ate tons of Gelato, and shopped.  I had heard sooo many people talk about Italy, but I really loved France better.  The language is beautiful and the food and music is awesome!  I loved the styles too.  First of all, notice the girls pants.  EVERY girl over there had these on and I feel in love.  They sort of look like pajama pants, but I loved them.  So I kept dragging Byron in store after store in search of these.  I finally found some, and I am so glad it is warm enough to wear them again:)

My Nice Version:

Come with me through France (Paris and Nice):...at least I have these to feel like I am there again:)

Au revoir!
